What payments do you take?
We take all major credit cards or debit cards.
Can I make payments?
Yes, the first 1/2 of your booking cost is due at the time of booking, the remainder is automatically charged about 14 days prior to your arrival date. The second payment can be changed to suit your needs if you let us know what youâ€™re looking for.
What is your cancellation policy ?
You will find our cancellation policy once you begin to book. It is in the Rental Agreement and you can also access it here:
Cancel >30 days from arrival date, 100% refund. Cancel <= 30 days & >14 days from arrival date, 50% refund. Cancel <= 14 days from arrival date, no refund. . You will have an opportunity to view the agreement before you book if you click the booking link.
What is the WiFi password?
It is located in the condos kitchen.
Do you allow pets?
Pets are allowed at the Maravilla Resort. Pets are NOT allowed at the Victorian Resort. We only allow non-aggressive breed pets that do not bark. Continual barking will disturb the guest adjacent to your condos and you may be asked to leave. Aggressive breeds, as precious as many are to their owners, will frighten other guests at the resort and present a risk to other guests. Also, our insurance does not allow aggressive breeds on premises.
Pets are NOT allowed at the Victorian Resort. The resort management will ask you to leave without refund if you are found with a pet on premises.
How far is the beach at the Victorian Resort?
It is right across the street. The resort is located on the Galveston seawall near 61st St. There is really great beach access in front of the property. The 61st Street Pier is only a few blocks away as well.
How far is the beach at the Maravilla Resort?
There is not a swimmable beach in front of the resort. The resort is located on the Galveston seawall, however over the years, the storms have washed away the sand beach and the ocean is up against the seawall. You have to walk or drive about 1/2 mile or less, depending on tides, to a swimmable/walkable beach. There are other nice and less crowded beaches further west as well.
I see your condos sleep up to 6 for 1 bedroom and up to 8 for 2 bedroom condos. Can I bring more people?
The city fire code does not allow us to have more than the specified number of guests per condos. If you have more guests than the condos accommodates, you should rent an additional condos.
I see your check in / check out times are 4pm and 11am. Can I check in early, arrive late or check out late?
We will attempt to accommodate reasonable requests for early check-in and late check-out. It depends on the guests departing the morning of your arrival and arriving the day of your departure. It usually takes about 2 hours for our housekeepers to make ready a condos for the next guests so a 2pm check in is possible, but you must have authorization to check in early or check out late since this has to be pre-arranged with housekeeping. You can only get authorization by texting or emailing me or email@example.com THE DAY BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL or DEPARTURE. Verbal authorizations will not be honored. If you want a 10am check in for instance, you will need to book the night beforeâ€¦ or if you want a 4pm departure, you should book that night as well.
Do you supply beach towels?
We only supply bath towels. You may purchase beach towels at most of the local shops for $5 to $20 each.
Do you allow parties at the resort?
This is a family resort. Most guests are here to enjoy a quiet and peaceful time with their children. The resort management does not allow loud music or inappropriate behavior.
How do I get a key for the condos?
We use KEYLESS door locks. You will not have to obtain a key! We will program an access code upon booking. Please read your booking confirmation to obtain the access code. Make sure you put my phone number in your speed dial in your phone in case you have problems with the door lock. The front desk for the HOA cannot give you access.
What if I have a problem during my stay?
You should immediately call me at 936-499-3941. We want your vacation to be stress free and will make every effort to remedy any issues right away.
Do I have to pay to park?
The Victorian charges a one time $30 per short term stay Resort Fee which includes parking for up to 1 vehicle. For stays over 2 weeks, please contact me for the rate. The homeownerâ€™s association at the Maravilla Resort charges $10 per night per vehicle. You will need to pay at the HOA front office at the time of your arrival. If you have multiple vehicles, you will have to purchase parking passes for each at the Maravilla.
Is there parking at the resort?
Yes, there is garage parking at both resorts. If the garage is full, there is overflow parking in the uncovered areas of the resort.
I will be arriving late. What do I do?
At the Victorian, the HOA front office is open till 11pm so stop by there 1st to obtain the gate code, pool passes and codes, wifi code. The Maravilla front office closes at 6pm during daylight savings time and 5pm during standard time so if arriving late, please park in the parking garage under the building and proceed to the condo. Detailed instructions are located in the emails you were sent. If you completed all necessary items, you will be emailed the condo door code the day prior to your arrival. Please be sure to read the emails we send as they contain all the important information you will need for your arrival, stay and departure. Please only call in case of emergency. If you are arriving extremely late, please try to be quiet so as not to disturb other guests adjacent and below you.
I tried to book and it says that the property is not available. What does this mean?
It means that someone else has booked the condos for at least 1 of the nights that you are desiring. We send out a lot of quotes daily and anyone can book at any time. Unfortunately, we cannot prevent someone from booking the minute before you book. Quite often, however, we can accommodate you in another condos. If we have other condos that are available, the email you received would have suggested them for you.
